Our courses is lead the way in prevention, management and treatment of movement and allied disorders in dogs. It encompasses a wide educational framework including workshops, online courses, CPD opportunities and qualifications in Canine Myotherapy.

The cornerstone of our Education Programme is the internationally acclaimed Galen Canine Myotherapy Diploma. This course has been successfully running since 2006, and was the first fully externally accredited course specialising in canine massage/myotherapy. We're delighted to bring this to India and beyond, and invite you to read about how you can study with us, and enrich the lives of dogs in this emerging market.
Dogs with behaviour problems often have muscle pain, and the real problem is not discovered. Julia is a great teacher, and she will teach you how to understand muscles and build them up the right way, how to assess a dog’s muscle problems, and how to help the dog. This is a unique chance of learning about an extremely important part of the dog’s body

THE STARTING POINT TO LEARNING ABOUT YOUR DOG

Galen Myotherapy Foundation Course

Our Foundation course is a great starting point for dog owners and handlers who are looking to gain an understanding of their dog’s movement and functional anatomy, and to learn some skills which will help to improve their dog’s health using the principles of Galen Myotherapy. The course is available globally, however we're proud to offer BHARCS clients in India a discount on the cost of the course.

This unique online course is packed with information in a fun learning environment. It’s ideal for anyone who is interested in gaining an understanding of their dog’s habits and behaviours, and how this relates to their dog’s comfort.

Through Galen’s many years of research and treatment of thousands of dogs, we have found many indicators which can be directly associated with muscle discomfort and also pain. The link between a dog's habits and comfort level is absolutely fascinating and is something that Galen has been talking about for over a decade.

This course will teach you about muscle pain from a dog’s perspective and how simple environmental and activity changes can make a positive impact on your own dog’s health.

During the course you will also be given the tools to apply two practical massage techniques which you can apply to your dog to enhance their wellbeing.

SHARING OF KNOWLEDGE

Galen Myotherapy were the first organisation to develop many of the techniques that are now accepted across the industry. Everyone who studies with us benefits from our extensive knowledge, approach, and ground-breaking protocols including Positive P.A.C.T.® and our revolutionary Galen Comfort Scale©.

We truly believe in the power of sharing knowledge and we'd love to work with you to enrich the lives of dogs all over the world.

The course structure and content is comprehensive and captures my interest. I like the option to complete the practical training intensively, over a 2-week period. I work full time, so distance learning is a must for me. The course has been developed with the input of veterinary professionals and accredited through Laser Learning Awards which enhances the credibility of the diploma. The Galen Therapy team clearly have a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from the 10 years delivering this course, along with being leaders in Canine Myotherapy.

The 'icing on the cake' for me is the post graduate offer and being part of a team following completion of the course. Whilst I would like to practice Myotherapy on completion of the diploma, I would also like to continue developing and learning in this field. I see the post graduate offer as conduit for this, along with giving me the opportunity to meet likeminded people.
